AMA Racing Road Race Grand ChampionshipsThe AMA is proud to announce that it will again partner with the Championship Cup Series (CCS) to help run and operate the 2009 AMA Road Race Grand Championships, set for September 10-13, 2009 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The 2009 AMA Sports Road Race Grand Championships will be operationally supported by CCS. All classes listed on the entry form will not only be competing for National Championships, but also CCS points and contingency. CCS rules and regulations will be utilized, and CCS officials will handle officiating duties. AMA Racing National Championships and No. 1 plates will be awarded to class winners in all Expert classes. National Championships will be awarded to all Novice classes. Eligibilitya. Riders must be full AMA members and present proof at registration. Memberships will be available for purchase at registration. b. This event is open to all riders with a road racing license from any recognized U.S. Road Racing Organization and the CMA (Canadian Motorcycle Association). c. Minors
d. Current AMA Pro Racing licensed riders are not eligible for any AMA RRGC event awards and the results will be adjusted acordiningly. This also applies to riders who held an AMA Pro Racing license for the years 2006, 2007 and 2008. Any rider that falls into the above criteria will be allowed to compete for CCS points and contingency only. e. AMA Racing reserves the right to refuse entry or eliminate race results to a rider who could hurt the competitive balance in the expert and novice classes.
