Ride 'em Don't Hide 'em

There's classic bikes built for show, and then there's classic bikes built for go.

And instead of leaving their bikes as trailer queens, reverently parked and studiously shown-off, the entrants in Saturday's "Ride 'em Don't Hide 'em Bike Show" are happy to fall in the second group. The show involves a 30-mile ride before the bikes are judged, and several dozen intrepid riders were up for the challenge before the group left in the morning.

"If I can start it, I'm going to ride it," says Stephen Rosenstiel of his '57 Sportster, who admits his temperamental machine is its own theft-deterrent system. "It's like I tell people, if you can start it, you can have it!"

Machines filing out of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course as part of the ride included some real stunners, including a Benelli 750 Sei six-cylinder in beautiful shape, a great-looking Triumph Trophy desert sled, a Rokon Automatic, a cherry-looking Kawasaki 750 triple and a nice 1964 Ducati 160.
