Old Hogs, new tricks

If the idea of riding an old hand-shift Harley-Davidson sounds intimidating, just try doing the "suicide split" on one.

That's just one part of the repertoire of the Victor McLaglen Motor Corps, the oldest of the precision-riding drill teams, dating back to 1935. The "suicide split" involves one rider rushing headlong at a two-column line of his fellow corpsmen (and corpswomen) as the other riders split apart to let him pass. Other stunts include forming human pyramids and riders stretching out between two moving motorcycles.

The Victor McLaglen Motor Corps performs daily at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days.
