Speaking at the Honda Riders Club of America dinner Thursday night, Erion Racing's offered up a different take on navigating the famed high banks of Daytona. Asked what it was like to ride up on the banking, Hayes and the other racers in attendence agreed that at 180mph, what looks smooth is actually a bumpy ride.

"I don't know if you wanted the race on TV, but they had video of Aaron Yates shot looking back at his head as he went around the banking, and if they had set it to music from Metallica, it would have been perfect because his head was banging so much."
