Supercross practice heats up

Just as you'd expect, Ricky Carmichael, James Stewart and Chad Reed looked sharp in the first seeded Supercross practice at the Daytona Supercross by Honda.

This was the first trip out on the track, so there weren't too many of the so-called cat-and-mouse games that the top riders sometimes play, trying to gauge the pace of a rival without letting them do the same.

James Stewart is doing whatever he can to make sure his '07 Daytona doesn't end up like his '06 Daytona.


Chad Reed needs to get back on track if he's going to keep Stewart within striking distance in the points chase.
