Thieves, beware!
Looking to pull off a major bike heist at Daytona? We've got news--Daytona police are looking for you.
Yesterday, at the press conference that kicks off Bike Week, Daytona's Police Chief, Mike Chitwood, said that his department had worked out a sting operation with owners of several custom bikes that will be parked around town during the week. The police has installed GPS tracking devices in the bikes, and will be watching them.
"We know there are people who come to town attracted by some of these bikes," he said. "They won't know which ones are clean, and which ones aren't."
