KR's new bike

Kenny Roberts and Honda used Bike Week to announce their new collaboration in the MotoGP arena.

Roberts, who has run his own GP team for several years with engines developed by his team, has made the switch to Honda power for '06. We're talkin' the same V-five, 990cc, 240-plus horsepower engine that Honda uses in its factory bikes, tucked into a new twin-spar aluminum frame developed by GP Motorsports.

The bike, which was on display at the track today and soon will be put in the hands of rider Kenny Roberts Jr., looks tiny, sleek and very serious.
