Fat-tire custom of another kindMost of the time at Daytona, the custom and racing scenes are two separate camps. But then someone like Robert Fisher comes along and blurs the line. As president of Roaring Toyz, Fisher has been building custom sportbikes for about six years and winning lots of attention for his ability to bring bling to the go-fast side of motorcycling. So Kawasaki turned him loose with the company's new ZX-14 (You can read our review here). The results were unveiled at Bike Week. Consider it a different use of chrome and a fat rear tire. Not that Fisher had much time to stand around and listen to admiring comments. He was busy elsewhere -- getting ready to qualify to race in the Daytona 200.
