AMA MARKS 'MOTORCYCLE AWARENESS MONTH' WITH NEW RADIO SPOTS
PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) has announced the release of three new public-service announcements, to coincide with May as national "Motorcycle Awareness Month."
The 15-second PSAs remind motorists to watch for motorcycles, caution motorcyclists against combining alcohol and riding, and convey the message that excessive noise poses risks to motorcyclists' right to ride. Featuring the well-known voice of AMA Life Member Colter Rule, the PSAs are intended for free distribution to radio stations nationwide.
"These are important messages all year long, but they're especially crucial at this time of year," said AMA Public Information Director Tom Lindsay. "We hope that broadcasters will join us in spreading the word, to help make 2006 a safe riding season."
The new PSAs are available for download in the "Rights Resources" section of the AMA's website at www.amadirectlink.com/legisltn/resources.asp. The AMA offers other valuable information for new and experienced riders in the "Rider Resources" and "New Rider" sections of AMADirectlink.com, and at RideStraight.com.
