2009 AMA Congress Recommendation
Advisory Committee:
Proposal Num: 85
Submitted by: Paul J Flanders
District: 37
Congress Decision: Accepted
Recommendation:
Congress should recommend that the AMA not remove the listing of sanctioned events from the website until the day after an event has taken place.
Reason for recommendation:
This was proposed and passed at Congress last year, however two day events are still being removed before the second day begins. Most two day events will still accept entries on the second day. Often riders, spectators and officials will go to the website to check up on an event, on the day of the event, only to find that the listing has already been deleted earlier that morning and then they wonder if the event is still taking place. Why can't the deletions wait until the next day?
