2009 AMA Congress Recommendation

Recommendation:

Suggest that the AMA require the tracks who run Pro-Am events be required to provide a list of riders who received payout to ensure that the promoter is complying with the Pro-Am rules.

Referred to Motocross for Vote.

Reason for recommendation:

I have received several comments about tracks who hold  Pro-Am  MX events are not paying out the minimum purse ($3000). When I attended the Pro-Am race at Motoland, Kingsbury, In July 11th and 12th, I talked to  a few riders and they told me that Motoland was the exception in paying out the minimum  $3000 purse.
