2009 AMA Congress Recommendation

Recommendation:

Investigate the viability of not selling insurance for non-competitive, on road events.

Reason for recommendation:

The cost of insurance for small gatherings of road riders (i.e. "cruise-in, bike show, and non competitive rides and parades.) has made it impossible for smaller clubs to sanction their events. A sanction fee should include a small posting in our magizine and on line and nothing else. It will increase the involvement of many of the smaller clubs who no longer sanction events.
